Odds are stacked against the entrepreneurs, funding, compliance, legal, product market fit, people management, financial management, competition, technology, politics, economy to name a few. No wonder more than half of the businesses fail within the first year of starting, and majority of the remaining half close doors within the following 4year. Statistics show that cash-flow, not having enough cash is the #1 reason for business failure. What makes the majority of them fail and what makes the smaller fraction of them succeed? While the easy and lazy answer is - Money. The real reason is the language and understanding of what we call money.

It's not your fault, nobody told you anything about money. Talking about money has been taboo for generations. Most families don’t discuss money at the dinner table and until recently schools and colleges didn’t even have financial literacy programs. Even now, there’s limited formal education about money.

This outdated system has failed all of us entrepreneurs and the exceptions are the few who took it upon themselves to learn about and leverage money. These successful few look invincible because they are the ones who are successful, have the wealth and it seems their business just keeps growing while yours is struggling to make the next week’s payroll. It has come to a point where I believe that their knowledge and understanding of money and how to use it to make business decisions has become their super power and it almost feels like an unwinnable game for the rest.
