I was raised having everything I needed but nothing that I wanted. Always making really difficult choices between needs and wants.

I started my first business, a comic books rental when I was in grade 8 and by grade 12 I was tutoring almost every hour that I wasn’t at school or sleeping. I started my Event Management company when I was in College for my Accounting degree. Made lots of money and friends but learned a ton of real life lessons, from betrayal to boardroom negotiations and from handing out flyers in a busy market to being on stage emceeing.

I worked hard to achieve the things I wanted, not just needed. I wanted more from life and not just settle for what I needed.

I moved to upstate NY for my MBA, worked hard, be it chopping onions at 5am for breakfast soup at the University cafe or being an assistant to the Business Advisor at the SBDC. I loved my time at SBDC, this was my very first experience working with small businesses. Local small businesses would come to SBDC for advice and support and my boss at the time would assign me tasks like researching the industry, reading the business plan, reviewing the financial projections and come back with feedback, insights, and opinions. I worked hard to keep the TA and scholarships, I graduated with a near-perfect GPA.

I quickly found a job and moved to Washington DC. I wanted to make the world a better place so finding a job at a Non Profit that was building power plants in developing countries seemed like a great idea. It wasn’t. Only because the job was in Accounting and I wasn’t enjoying it. After a year and half, I found myself in NYC working at Lehman Brothers, one of the top five investment banks in the world at the time. I completed my project there and started working with AIG insurance. While I was enjoying the jet setting lifestyle as a Management Consultant, working with Fortune 50 companies, on seemingly important projects, with people who had impressive sounding titles, staying at five star hotels for several weeks and months sometimes, and making more money than almost everyone I knew at that time. Something was missing.

It was the reminder I needed. Why was I waiting for the perfect day to quit? How could I justify deferring my happiness until my student debt is paid off? Do I not believe in my business that it would be able to pay off the debt too?

I finally got it.

If I wanted to make my dreams come true, I had to take complete ownership, I had a decision to make, which meant quit half-assing a job and moon lighting a business and go ALL IN starting NOW.

While it was a bigger challenge to explain to my Indian parents why their adult son quit a perfect, high paying job and wants to be self-employed, I have thrived as an entrepreneur for a decade and a half since. They still blame Bollywood movies by the way.

I wanted it all - money, fulfillment, and impact and I wasn’t willing to wait. I believe in having the cake and eating it too.

I went all in on my business and chased what wasn’t a salary or job title. l used my business as my vehicle for creating the wealth and freedom I wanted.

My life quickly turned around. I paid off my entire student debt in less than a year. I had more money than I could have imagined having a year ago. I was happy, fulfilled, and the impact was dozens upon dozens of entrepreneurs having success raising capital and running great businesses. After fifteen years, having written over a thousand business plans, I find myself today as one of the luckiest people on earth because I am blessed to do what I love, I love what I do, i love who i get to work with, I am making the impact I always dreamt of making, and money & fulfillment are phenomenal. Today, my clients include Visionary entrepreneurs, CEOs, NY Times Best Selling Authors, and industry thought leaders, even former mental performance coach of a Major League Baseball team.

I participate in masterminds and organizations with other brave souls committed to doing the inner work and getting a little better every day.

This allows me to focus on fulfillment, impact, happiness, and doing my best. This investment of time, money, energy, and emotions empowers me to challenge my beliefs that weren’t in alignment with who I was at my being self.

The more I focus on fulfillment, impact, happiness and being the best at what I do, the more abundance I receive. I want you to have that freedom and abundance as you, the change maker visionary entrepreneur, you deserve it the most.

Today, I own equity in 5 different businesses and 2 of them already bring true passive income consistently. I have family and freedom. I have relationships with people that motivate me. I feel connected to a greater sense of purpose every day and have created a reality that’s better than what I imagined it to be.

Life feels amazing when you realize that traditional training failed us by always focusing on either or decisions and while that’s not your fault, your responsibility now is to always be in the energy of AND discussions and making AND decisions.

On my journey to creating my dream life for myself, I sincerely want to create opportunities for others to do the same in whatever way is aligned with their calling.

The truth is we can have it all. The only thing stopping us is ourselves. It's our fears, our limiting beliefs, and those around us who want to keep us safe and it not their fault either, they want the best for you but they don’t know what's best for you so they end up keeping you safe and all of that convinces us to play far smaller than our full potential.

Change starts with us. It’s time for us to create a new way of being so we can choose opportunities over risks, courage over fear, and abundance over scarcity.

I’ve chosen to commit my life to building this better world… a world that offers a realistic alternative to the broken model of what it means to “make it” in life. A world where entrepreneurs don’t fail, they thrive. A world where business owners are not going through sleepless nights over next payroll, a world where a mom doesn’t have to make a choice between being a mom or growing a business, a world where an entrepreneur doesn’t have to live a dual life of being an employee to pay the bills, a world where entrepreneurs are not denied access to capital, a world where an entrepreneur’s child is not denied student loan because of bad credit and the list can go on. I want to build a world where entrepreneurs are the most successful and they are successful at solving the world’s thorniest problems while receiving the abundance they deserve.

For me, that’s a world worth fighting for.
